Solano 888 Productions is in need of MALE and FEMALE models (at least 5'10" in height for male and 5'7" in height for female) based in Los Angeles, CA for its upcoming Premier Bridal Fashion Shows on:

January 4, 2014 (Saturday) at Anaheim Convetion Center
January 5, 2014 (Sunday) at Anaheim Convention Center
January 12, 2014 (Sunday) at Sheraton Cerritos
January 19, 2014 (Sunday) at The Hills Hotel Laguna
February 9, 2014 (Sunday) at Ontario Convention Center
February 16, 2014 (Sunday) at Radisson Hotel Newport Beach
February 23, 2014 (Sunday) at Long Beach Convention Center

Call time is at 9:30am. Fashion show ends at 2:30pm. This is approximately a 5-hour "non-paid" gig. Models get a free a hair and make-up and professional photos in actual wedding gowns/tux 3-4 weeks after the event for portfolio purposes. Up to two (2) complimentary tickets for model's guests to the show ($10 value).

Orchestrating a Wedding Rehearsal

STEP #1: STAND WHERE YOU WILL BE STANDING

Line up the wedding party to stand where they will be standing for the wedding ceremony. (Groom and his attendants on the Officiant's left, Bride and her attendants on the Officiant's right.) The Bride and Groom face each other. The Ring Bearer (if any) usually stands in front of the Groom's attendants, Flower Girl (if any) in front of the Bride's attendants. Now the bridal party goes to the places where they will enter on the wedding day. Groom and his attendants go to the side (stage left, the Officiant's left side). The Bride and her attendants go to the back of the hall where they will enter.

STEP #2: SEAT THE GUESTS

Promptly at the announced time of the wedding, the time stated on the invitation, the ushers seat the family and honored guests. The front row is reserved for these special people. At the rehearsal you can practice escorting in these special guests if you want. Usually reminding the special people to wait in the back for their escort, and possibly introducing them to their escort (usher) is all that's needed.

STEP #3: THE BRIDAL PARTY WALKS IN

The Wedding Begins! First the groom and his attendants walk in from the groom's side, led by the Officiant, and stand where they did in STEP ONE. Remember the Officiant is there to help if someone has forgotten where to stand. Next the bride's attendants walk in, slowly, and take their places (where they stood in STEP ONE). 

Now the flower girl and ring bearer (if any) walk in and stand where they stood in STEP ONE. The music, if any, usually changes as the Bride walks in and the Officiant always motions the guests to rise. Now the Bride is escorted in. The Officiant will ask "Who brings her here on this happy day of her life?" The person or persons escorting the bride usually say: "I do", "we do", "or on behalf of all who love her, I do".

Now, the Officiant performs the ceremony...

STEP #4: THE BRIDAL PARTY WALKS OUT

As soon as the Officiant has declared the couple "wife and husband" and they kiss, the elated couple walks out (sometimes after having been introduced as the new Mr. & Mrs.) The flower girl and ring bearer (if any) follow. The attendants from each side meet in the center and walk out as couples. Often the ushers return to escort out the front row. Usually this is done as an entire row, not person by person, since people are eager to congratulate the couple and begin partying.

Note: Prior to the wedding instruct your ushers as to whether you want them to seat guests generally, or as "friends of the bride or friends of the groom?" and whether or not you want them to walk guests all the way to their seats, or motion them to empty seats.

(3) October 13, 2013 > Sheraton Delfina - Santa Monica, CA

Call time is at 9:30am. Fashion show ends at 2:30pm. This is approximately a 5-hour "non-paid" gig. Up to two (2) complimentary tickets for model's guests to the show ($10 value).

Male models' tux/suit will be sponsored by Vera Wang's Black Edition courtesy of Men's Wearhouse. Fitting will be scheduled prior to event day at the closest shop near your area.

Bahar S.' Review: "I'm having a destination wedding in Cabo so ultimately I needed to hire a local wedding coordinator in Mexico, but I wanted to take the time to write about Jonah at Solano 888 Productions.

After becoming very frustrated by all the vendors and the wedding planners in Mexico and how slow an none responsive everyone there is I had cold feet about having a destination wedding after all. I started googling local vendors and a wedding I liked listed Solano 888 Productions as the event coordinators. I wrote them an email with a list of questions.

Literally the next day Jonah called me. She didn't just have answers she had taken the time to do research other vendors that I may like with a range of available dates for the months I was considering. When I told her my issues with the hotels in Los Cabos, she said she would check into it. Within two days she sent me emails and called to provide me information about the hotels I was interested in in Mexico. The local wedding planner I was dealing with didn't get back to me until a week after Jonah.

She also called my DJ and made him give me a discount after I had already negotiated a price with him.

Jonah is organized and hard working. But the most important thing is that she seemed to genuinely care about my budget and my time constraint. As a bride you want to have the best wedding possible but finances can be very stressful and I literally felt calm and optimistic every time I got off the phone with her.

Ultimately, I had to get a local wedding planner in Mexico because I need a presence there since I am planning from LA but if I were to have a local wedding I would definitely work with Jonah."

Solano 888 Organizes Premier Bridal Fashion Show // Long Beach Convention Center

On June 9^th, 2013 Solano 888 Productions had the great honor of exclusively filming and organizing the Premier Bridal Fashion Show at the Long Beach Convention Center, for the very FIRST TIME! The theme was the glitzy and glamorous retro era of “The Great Gatsby”.  This was no small feat – hundreds of real brides attended the show, along with their closest family and friends! 

 

Black lace, fine gold china, and fresh white orchids filled the Solano 888 booth, paying homage to the great style of the 1920’s. Black linen napkins adorned with pearls and a chic table setting added to the old world vibe. Fine crystal glassware and a retro bar setup added even more to the opulence! Thanks to Solano 888's Event Stylist, Nancy Adams-Friedman for her attention to details. Vintage items were provided by Etablir Vintage Rentals. Flower arrangements designed by Una Yeh of Kissing Bees.
   

 

 

 

Brides-to-be who attended the bridal show were treated to the latest trends from the bridal world: photo booths, wooden palette backgrounds and accessories, vintage props, the latest in bridal wear, and glamour, glamour, GLAMOUR! Vendors ranging from DJs, hotels, florist, to hairstylists and make-up artists offered the guests free make-over and showed off their goods.   

The brides and their families were easy to spot as everyone was given cute, playful stickers that read “Bride!” or “Mother of the Bride”/“Father of the Bride”. This was a fun, energetic crowd that was ready for the awesome prize giveaways that were featured. Did we mention that $1,500 cash, a bridal gown, and a trip for two to Santa Barbara and Las Vegas were offered at the show?! Not to mention loads of “Gift Certificates” from different participating vendors. The lively emcee from Renowned Events, Michael Taylor, did a great job and kept the energy level HIGH! The entrance line was so long at times that it wrapped around the building!
     

The Solano 888 team also had the privilege of executing the entire fashion show, which included handsome suits in charcoal and black by Vera Wang sponsored by Men’s Wearhouse, with slick hair straight from the 20’s styled by Salon 5150.

 

The bridal gowns that walked the runway were Gatsby-inspired courtesy of Mary Me Bridal– tons of intricate lace, beading, with gorgeous and sexy back cutouts -- but beautiful and perfect for the modern bride of today! The addition of red, dark lips and retro look by Arte of Make-Up and custom-made bouquets by Mon Joli Bouquet only added to the beauty of the gowns and the theme.    

Also introduced for the first time at the bridal show was Solano 888 Productions’ newest package, the “Jennifer Package” in honor of it's newest member of the team, Jennifer McKinney. This package is perfect for the couple that needs “On-the-Day Coordination” for their wedding. The Jennifer Package includes a couple of face-to-face meetings, timeline and itinerary production and distribution, event management and coordination for 8 hours, and much, much more! 2nd Annual Vintage Glamour Bridal Show // UCLA

On March 24, 2013, the Solano 888 Productions team participated in another wonderful bridal expo! Held at the Ackerman Ballroom at UCLA, Vintage Glamour Bridal Show, organized by SF Productions featured a theme very close to the team's heart: "Vintage Meets Modern".

The bridal show offered brides-to-be a myriad of vintage and modern design options for their big day. From rockabilly bridemaids dresses to modern asymmetrical lace bridal gowns, romantic pin-curl hairstyling to state of the art photography. All of these services, creatively displayed by vendors, framed a red carpet runway where vintage and beautiful women exquisitely showed modern pieces during an hour-long fashion show.

 

Solano 888 Productions, not only had the privilege to exclusively film the entire event, the team had the opportunity to showcase its services in a fun, bold and brightly-styled booth.

Taking it's que from the show's theme, the team took vintage elements like whitewashed French inspired furniture, mason jars, and pearls and set them against a very modern pattern, the chevron. The color scheme was inspired by the spring season. Lively yellows, vibrant deep pinks with touches of purple and green made for a fresh palette perfect for a spring or summer wedding.
